Administrative Assistant (Inspection Dept)
HAPHousing is searching for a Senior Administrative Assistant to oversee the daily operations and workflow of a team of assistants.  Perform data entry, scheduling, and other clerical duties, and act as administrative lead for special projects.  Requirements include proficiency in Microsoft Office, customer service, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to multi-task.  Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.  Wage range $14.99 - $17.53/hr depending on education and experience.  Send cover letter and resume to HR@haphousing.org or Human Resources, HAPHousing, 322 Main Street, Springfield, MA  01105.

Commonwealth Corps Service Positions
Join HAPHousing for one of 4 one-year, full-time Commonwealth Corps service positions to assist families in housing crisis.  Service positions range from helping pregnant and parenting teens living in transitional housing to assisting homeless families in shelters moving into their own apartments to preventing homelessness.  All Corps members will help to recruit volunteers and donations to provide direct service to at-risk or homeless clients to enhance program services and address family needs.  The year of service is an opportunity to gain new skills and address homelessness in our community.  Corps members will receive training and supervision.  Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.  Service runs from September through August with an annual stipend of $10,000, paid health insurance, and a completion bonus of $1,800 at the end of a satisfactory year of service.  Interested candidates should send a cover letter and resume to:  HR@haphousing.org or Human Resources, HAPHousing, 322 Main Street, Springfield, MA  01105.

Housing Specialist
HAPHousing is seeking a Housing Specialist for a growing rapid re-housing program.  Responsibilities include intake and assessment, case management, service coordination, income maximization and permanent housing placement for homeless families living in scattered site apartments or a shelter.  Strong candidates will have related experience with homeless families, case management, and housing programs; excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and computer skills; knowledge of local community and service provider network; and a reliable car.  Bachelor's degree preferred.  Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus.  Wage range $13.48 - $15.77/hr depending on education and experience.  Send cover letter and resume to HR@haphousing.org or Human Resources, HAPHousing, 322 Main Street, Springfield, MA  01105.

Property Manager
Dynamic non-profit housing agency managing a diverse scattered site portfolio throughout Western Mass. needs an experienced property manager.  Responsibilities include budgeting, marketing, tenant screening, income recertification, supervision, and regulatory compliance.  Requirements include previous property management experience, excellent communication, organizational and computer skills, and commitment to high quality tenant service.  Experience with LIHTC, Rural Development, and HUD program, COS, CPM certification preferred. Relief Staff

Affordable Housing Development
HAPHousing is seeking an experienced affordable housing development specialist to join its development team as a Project Manager.  The Project Manager will manage the full development process, from initial identification of development opportunities and determination of feasibility (financial, environmental, zoning, etc.), to the securing of entitlements and financing, through the closing process, and finally through the construction process.  The Project Manager must have experience with the affordable housing development process, including funding programs such as Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), State of Massachusetts housing programs and federal housing programs such as HOME and CDBG financing.  Construction Project Managers Need Not Apply.  Bachelor's degree preferred and min 5 years related experience required.  HAP provides an excellent benefit package; salary will be commensurate with experience and education.  Send cover letter and resume to HR@haphousing.org or Development Assistant, HAPHousing, 322 Main Street, Springfield, MA  01105.  HAP, Inc. is an EOE/AA employer committed to promoting diversity in its workforce.  Minority candidates are particularly encouraged to apply.

Time Off
Vacations: 2 weeks (year one); 3 weeks (year two); 4 weeks (year six)
