Financing, Counseling and Workshops
HAPHousing provides several programs that help homeowners keep and manage their homes, or modify them to accommodate family members with special needs. Our services are free of charge or, as in the case of some educational workshops, have a nominal fee. Participation in some of HAPHousing's programs also offers the opportunity for specialized funding to those who qualify.
Our programs include:
- Free foreclosure prevention assistance
- Low-cost financing to address lead-based paint hazards (Get the Lead Out program)
- Loans to modify homes for family members with disabilities
- Rental property management workshops
Low-cost financing to address lead-based paint hazards is available for one- to four-family homes through MassHousing. Owner-occupants may be eligible for a 0% deferred payment loan that is due only upon the sale, transfer or refinancing of the home. Call 413-233-1615 or visit the MassHousing website for more information.
